Want to get to Rajasthan in just 30 minutes?

Yeah, just 30 minutes if you live anywhere in Dubai or Sharjah. Still wondering how? Indian Fest is on at Al Qasba, Sharjah this weekend. And the place will give you the exact vibe of Rajasthan. One of the biggest cultural and art event dedicated to the profound love of Indian culture has kick started yesterday and will go on till the 19th of November, 2016.

What to expect?
Expect a fun filled evening with colours, art, food, shopping and fun. Colours because it’s an Indian fest, that goes without a question. Food because they have over 7 pop up restaurants with the typical street food of India, like the most delicious ones. Finally a display of a variety of creative forms of art like dance, culinary classes, puppet show and so on.

Where to eat?
Well my favourite was Ayub’s Kebabs. This pop up restaurant is part of the Haji Ali juice Centre group. Let me tell you already that you guys might want to gear up for their delicious chicken sandwiches rolled in Rumali Roti spiced up with some veggies and sauces. They only have about four or five menu choicrs but they are the best of the lot! By the end of the meal, we were in love with Chicken Hariyali sandwich and chicken achari sandwich. Kudos to the guys!

What did I love the most?

If you have ever visited Jaipur, the pink city of India, you would know that the art of making Lac jewellery and decorative items is very intrinsic and is something they take pride in. Lac is a type of resin extracted from wild trees. The process of designing Lac work and jewellery is very typical and complex. The process involves heating, combining, kneading, hammering and shaping till dough like mass is made. You will get a feel of it while you are Al Qasba tonight. They have a counter dedicated to live bangle making, which will leave you fascinated!

All in all this weekend, have no other plans. Visit Al Qasba and have deliciously entertaining evening!
