Let me quickly summarize my eat out experience at the Grand Barbeque last night. Value for money, wide variety, great ambience and good food – put together, a grand experience! After being invited for an iftar buffet with my family, all we wanted to have was a crane to lift us from the chair after the heavy meal.
It all started with the crispy corn in starters which was served on plate followed by Roti with Boti. That of course was one of my favorite! The highlight of the evening has to be the fact that they have a good mix dishes for vegetarians like my mom as well as pure non-vegetarians like myself. There’s more, ensure you make space for the starters separate from the main course. Starters just kept getting better and better with every other we tried. Deep fried and juicy Prawns, chicken tikka, haryali murg tikka, fish tikka, paneer tikka, aloo tikka and so on and so forth! That’s approximately about 18-20 starters followed by Salads, main course and desserts.
It’s not very usual to find a chaat corner in a buffet as this, but they haven’t missed on that as well. You’ll be gobsmacked with the variety of chaat they have such as pani puri, Dahi puri and so on.
Dhudi ka halwa and Muzzafer ka meetha are Pakistani desserts that they’ll bet you won’t find elsewhere. And if you are a chocolate lover like me then, they have fondue with marshmallows to sort your cravings.
