This is a late post about a trip that we did in Kerala to a beautiful hill station called Vagamon. As we plan our next trip to Kerala, Vagamon has again cropped up into our places to visit during this trip as well. We started our ride to Vagamon by road early, we didn’t want to miss out on the scenic beauty of Vagamon that we had heard of.
Spellbinding hill-locks, valleys, waterfalls, zig zag roads, enchanting pine forests, lush green tea gardens – ensure you have your camera on you through-out the trip. As we ride our way to the top, we were engulfed by mist which was an experience by itself.
On our way up, there were several waterfalls alongside hill-locks and greenery which ended at the cliff. Vagamon has now become one of the hot spots for post wedding photography for many newly wed. If you wish to stay overnight and witness the sunrise – I say nothing like it! The ride itself is a great one, the mist keeps engulfing you through the way up and you’ll need to be careful about the twirls and twists on the on way roads.
Tea Estates and pine forests are the next highlight of this picturesque hill station. There
are many sites to do overnight camping, paragliding opportunities for those seeking
adrenaline. We walked into the woods through the pine forests and had an ice cream from a road-side vendor by the enchanting Vagamon lake. Perfect place for a hideaway with peaceful surroundings.
